In the middle of dinner tonight, Benjamin dropped this non sequitur: "But seriously, I'm a spoon."
He laughed really hard at our confused expressions.

There are several things that I never expected to hear as a parent - both from the kids and from my own mouth. Things like "I don't care if he likes it, stop killing your brother."
